Mississippi South MississippiWilliams Travels to Victory Lane at SMS Posted:5/4/2010 Williams Travels to Victory Lane at SMS PASS CHRISTIAN, MS. Rain was in the area but that did not stop South MS Speedway from completing its third scheduled race event of the 2010 racing season. The first feature race of the evening was the street stock division in which eleven cars took the green flag to compete in the twelve lap feature event. Pass Christians, Rodney Bruce in the #12 and Saucier, Mississippi’s Michael Williams brought the field to the green flag. In a race that was slowed by a couple of cautions Williams had no trouble holding the lead to win the street stock feature event. Williams would be followed by the #MS25 of Jenny Woods and the #18 of Ray Necaise. In the UMP Modified division the #J40 of Jay Poston and the #G8 of George Gilbert set the front row. After some laps of heated battle for the lead the #16 of Danny Jones took the lead and would remain out front to take the win. Jones was followed by Gilbert and the #D1 of Ronnie Roberts. The pure stock feature turned out to be a battle of the ladies as Stephanie Necaise drove her #26 machine to the feature race win. Finishing in the second position was the #12 of Tracy Bruce and the #45 rounded out the top three. In the front-wheel drive stinger division the #30 of Gerald Ladner took the feature race win. Ladner was followed by the #10 of James Barton and the #05 car. Motion Media Video was on hand at SMS Saturday night capturing the night’s events.
