Josh Morrow Visits Victory Lane Again at Carolina Speedway

Team Full Throttle (TFT) development driver Josh Morrow won his third consecutive race at Carolina Speedway Friday night.

Morrow started in the eighth position and went on to win the heat race. His success in the heat race put his No. 39 Legends car on the pole for the feature race. Morrow never looked back, leading every lap and taking the win at the Gastonia, N.C. track. This was Morrow's third win in three starts at Carolina Speedway in 2010.

"We led flag to flag," Morrow said. "There was some crazy stuff going on behind me, but it was really kind of an uneventful race for me. I was up front, just driving."

En route to the win, Morrow was able to navigate through several cautions and overcome a one-lap shootout to end the race. He also had to conquer a loose racecar.

"The car was actually pretty loose, so I was doing my best to hang onto it," Morrow said. "Last week I tightened the car up too much, so I didn't want to do the same thing this week. I left it a little free, but it turned out to be too free. I was able to stay on the bottom and just be real smooth, so it worked."

Morrow's success this season continued at Carolina Speedway. "That was the third time I've been to that track this year, so I haven't lost there yet in 2010," he said. "I've actually never been so frustrated winning three races in a row. I just feel like my skill has shown that I'm above the Legends car, and I deserve to be in something bigger and faster. I just don't have the financial backing behind me to move up, so that is kind of frustrating."

Morrow will next race at East Lincoln Speedway this Saturday, May 8. He will return to Carolina Speedway the following Friday, May 14.

Also coming up on Morrow's schedule is an appearance on Red Clay Tuesdays tonight, May 4. The show, which is broadcast live from Buffalo Wild Wings in Gastonia, N.C., can be heard from 7 to 8 p.m. EDT on AM 1450 WGNC. It can also be accessed at http://www.wgnc.net/.
