SP News URSSURSS Ready for Double Header Weekend Posted:5/7/2010 URSS Ready for Double Header Weekend The cars and stars of the United Rebel Sprint Series will be in full force this weekend as they head for their first visit of the year to the Hutchinson Raceway Park in Hutchinson, KS on Friday night and then to the newest racing facility in Colorado on Sunday afternoon at the Colorado Motorsports Park in Byers, CO. This also will be the first appearance this year at the all glass enclosed grandstand facility. Current points leader and last weeks winner in Lamar, CO, Ty Williams will be leading a brigade of drivers into Hutch including Hays winner Cody Salem, Raymond Seemann who currently runs second in the points, Brian Herbert and Smokey Fairbank who are both tied for 3rd along with a host of other drivers including last years two time winner at Hutchinson Darren Bowman. Action begins at 7:00pm for hot laps with racing starting at 8:00 pm. Then it’s off to Colorado where drivers will meet up with the likes of Patrick Bourke, Tim Perkins, Judd Schaeffer, Mike and Tom Parker and a host a other drivers chomping at the bit to get a taste of the new Colorado Motorsports Park in Byers, CO. This will be the first sprint car race at the new facility this year as hot laps start at 1:00 pm and racing scheduled to start at 2:00.
